Short answer: Blue V (蓝V) is the blue badge on a verified XHS (小红书) enterprise professional account (企业专业号), and Start Media helps Singapore companies apply for it. A Singapore company can apply with its ACRA Business Profile and a few supporting documents. The platform charges a 600 yuan review fee per application, verification is renewed every year, and you should allow about 2–3 weeks from preparing documents to approval.

Key takeaways • Blue V shows customers that the account really belongs to your business, not a fan page or a copycat. • The core document for a Singapore company is the ACRA Business Profile, which costs S$5.50 on Bizfile. • The review fee is 600 yuan per application, and it is not refunded if the application fails. • Most rejections come from a mismatch: the account name, the documents and the business category must all tell the same story. • Apply only through Xiaohongshu's own professional account platform, never through resellers.

What Is Xiaohongshu Blue V Verification?

Blue V verification turns an ordinary account into a verified enterprise account with a blue badge next to its name. On Xiaohongshu this is called an enterprise professional account (企业专业号). The badge tells users that the platform has checked the business behind the account.

There are two kinds of professional account. A personal one is for creators and is free. An enterprise one is for companies and needs company documents and a paid review.

If you are new to the platform, start with our guide to what Xiaohongshu is and who uses it in Singapore.

Does a Singapore Business Need a Blue V Account?

If you plan to market on Xiaohongshu for more than a few months, yes. A verified account protects your name and makes your notes look trustworthy to people who are deciding where to eat, shop or book a service.

Here is what a Blue V account gives you:

  • Trust: Chinese-speaking customers can tell your official account apart from reviews and fan pages.

  • Name protection: Your brand name is tied to your registered company.

  • Business tools: Paid tools such as advertising are usually built around verified enterprise accounts.

  • A home for your store visits: When creators post about you, customers can tap through to your official account.

A small café that only wants a few creator posts can start without Blue V. But anyone running an account every month, like our XHS account management clients, should verify early.

What Documents Does a Singapore Company Need?

The key document is your ACRA Business Profile, plus proof that you have the right to use your account name. Get these ready before you open the application, because the review order has a time limit.

Document

Where to get it

Tips

ACRA Business Profile

Buy on Bizfile for S$5.50, searching by company name or UEN

Use a recent copy. The company name must match your application exactly

Trademark certificate (if the account name uses your brand)

IPOS or your trademark agent

Needed when the account name is a brand, not the company name

Authorisation letter

Prepared by your company

Needed if the brand or trademark belongs to another entity

ID of the person applying

Passport or NRIC

The person should be authorised by the company

Chinese translation

A translation company

Usually needed for documents that are not in Chinese or English

ACRA also gives a free Business Profile to the person who files. Since 27 March 2026, it arrives in the Bizfile inbox after a new registration, renewal, Annual Return or Annual Declaration. If you filed recently, check there before you pay.

How Do You Apply for Blue V, Step by Step?

The process has five steps, and most of the work happens before you click submit. Overseas companies usually apply on the desktop version of the professional account platform rather than in the phone app.

Step 1: Create a new account for the business

Register the account with a phone number your company controls. Avoid verifying a staff member's personal account. If that person leaves, the account can leave with them.

Step 2: Choose your account name

Pick a name that matches your company name or registered trademark. A name like "Tampines Laksa House" needs documents that show this name. Generic names such as "Singapore Good Food" are usually rejected.

Step 3: Prepare and upload documents

Upload clear scans, not phone photos with shadows. Add Chinese translations where the form asks for them. Choose the business category that matches what your ACRA profile says you do.

Step 4: Pay the review fee

The review fee is 600 yuan per application. A June 2026 report by China Securities Journal confirmed this is the fee paid to Xiaohongshu for the review. The fee is per attempt, so a rejected application means paying again.

Step 5: Answer the reviewer and wait

Keep an eye on your messages during the review. The reviewer may ask for a clearer scan or an extra document. Reply quickly, because an unfinished review order expires.

How Much Does Blue V Cost and How Long Does It Take?

Expect to pay about 600 yuan a year to the platform, plus S$5.50 for the ACRA document. The real cost is time: plan for 2–3 weeks from first preparation to the blue badge.

Why Do Blue V Applications Get Rejected?

Most rejections happen because something does not match. The reviewer compares your account name, your documents and your business category, and all three must agree.

Common reasons include:

  1. The account name is not on your ACRA profile or trademark certificate.

  2. The business category does not match your registered activity.

  3. Documents are blurry, expired or missing a translation.

  4. The industry is restricted on the platform, such as most medical services.

  5. The review order expired before you answered the reviewer.

Be careful with resellers who offer "fast" verification. In the same China Securities Journal report, a reseller charged an extra 1,100 yuan on top of the 600 yuan review fee. Xiaohongshu said a bug in one verification step had been abused, fixed the issue and began re-checking affected accounts. A badge bought the wrong way can be taken away.

What Should You Do After You Get the Blue V?

Verification is only the starting line. A verified account with no notes does little for your business.

Once the badge is live, fill in your profile with your address, opening hours and a short Chinese introduction. Then post steadily, using the words people actually search, such as 新加坡美食推荐. Our article on why XHS marketing fails explains the most common mistakes after launch.

From Our Experience Dawn, our founder, has worked on Xiaohongshu for 8 years and has trained more than 1,000 students. Her first advice to every business owner is simple: register the account under the company, not under one person. The second is to decide your account name before you do anything else, because changing it later can mean verifying again and paying the fee again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a Singapore company get Xiaohongshu Blue V without a China business licence?

Yes. Overseas companies can apply with their own registration documents. For a Singapore company, that means the ACRA Business Profile, plus translations where required.

How much is Xiaohongshu Blue V verification?

The platform review fee is 600 yuan per application, as reported by China Securities Journal in June 2026. You pay it again for the annual review and if an application is rejected.

How long does Xiaohongshu Blue V verification take?

Allow about 2–3 weeks in total, including time to prepare documents. Delays usually come from missing translations or a name that does not match the documents.

Do I need an agency to get Blue V?

No. You can apply yourself through Xiaohongshu's professional account platform. An agency helps mainly by preparing documents correctly the first time, which saves a second fee.

Is XHS Blue V the same as WeChat Channels blue V?

No. They are separate platforms with separate verification. Each needs its own application and its own yearly fee.
