Short answer: At Start Media, XHS (小红书) account management in Singapore costs about SGD 1,600–2,500 a month for 6–15 notes. That covers planning, Chinese copywriting, posting and replying to comments. KOC store visits (探店), Blue V verification and paid boosting are priced separately. The biggest cost driver is how many notes you need each month.

Key takeaways • Start Media's XHS account management is about SGD 1,600–2,500 a month for 6–15 notes. • Store visits start from SGD 2,000 per campaign; KOL posts are quoted by budget. • The number of notes, how much video you want and who takes the photos move the price most. • A very cheap quote usually leaves out keyword research, replies or original photos. • Judge results after 2–3 months of steady posting, not after the first week. How Much Does XHS Account Management Cost per Month?

For most Singapore businesses we work with, the monthly fee sits between SGD 1,600 and SGD 2,500. The exact number depends on how many notes you need: about 6 at the lower end and up to 15 at the higher end.

Account management is the ongoing work. Other XHS services are one-off or optional, so they are priced on their own. Here is how Start Media prices each part, as of October 2026:

What Is Included in a Monthly XHS Management Fee?

A fair monthly fee should cover everything needed to keep the account posting and answering customers. When you compare agencies, check that each of these is in the quote:

  • Keyword plan: a list of the Chinese searches your customers use, such as 新加坡美食推荐 for restaurants.

  • Content calendar: which note goes out on which day, and which keyword each note targets.

  • Chinese copywriting: titles and text written by native Chinese writers, not machine translation.

  • Photos, covers and short video: ask whether filming is included or whether you supply the photos.

  • Posting and replies: comments and private messages answered, usually within a working day.

  • Monthly report: saves, comments, messages and enquiries per note, not only likes.

A monthly calendar shows exactly how many notes you are paying for and when each one goes live.

If any of these is missing, the price is not really comparable. A quote for "12 posts" with no keyword plan and no replies is a different product from 12 notes that are planned around search.

What Makes the Price Go Up or Down?

Volume and video are the two biggest levers. In our experience, these factors decide where you land in the SGD 1,600–2,500 range:

Factor

Lower cost

Higher cost

Notes per month

About 6 notes

Up to 15 notes

Format

Mostly photo notes

More short-video notes

Photos and filming

You supply good photos

The agency shoots on site

Number of products or outlets

One shop, one menu

Several outlets or product lines

Add-ons

Account management only

Plus store visits, KOLs or WeChat Channels

You do not need the top of the range to start. You can begin with fewer notes, learn which keywords bring enquiries, then add volume. Store visits are a common add-on, because each creator note is another search result for your business.

Is an Agency Cheaper Than Hiring Someone In-House?

For most small businesses, an agency costs less than a full-time hire once you add everything up. A staff member's salary is only the start. From 1 January 2026, employers pay CPF contributions of 17% of wages for employees aged 55 and below.

You would also need someone who writes natural Chinese, understands XHS search, takes good photos and edits video. That is rare in one person. With an agency, you pay a fixed monthly fee and get a team.

An in-house hire can still make sense if you need daily content across many platforms and want someone on site. Our article on why Singapore SMEs are switching to fractional marketing teams compares both options, and our marketing outsourcing service explains how it works.

Why Do Some XHS Quotes Look Much Cheaper?

A low quote usually means something important is missing. Before you choose the cheapest option, ask what is left out:

  • Reposted content: the same photos from Instagram, translated, with no new Chinese copy.

  • No keyword research: nice posts that nobody finds in search.

  • No replies: comments and messages left unanswered, so enquiries go cold.

  • Fake word of mouth: made-up reviews or accounts posing as ordinary users, which Xiaohongshu's Community Convention 2.0, launched on 19 January 2026, clearly opposes.

  • Short contracts with no plan: a few posts, then nothing to measure.

Customers judge your account by its notes in their feed, so every note you pay for should be worth saving.

Search is the reason quality matters. Xiaohongshu's community operations lead said in May 2026 that the app has passed 400 million monthly users and 800 million searches a day, according to Huxiu. A note that matches a real search keeps getting found for months. A cheap note that matches nothing is money spent once.

How Long Before You See Results?

Give a new account about 2–3 months of steady posting before you judge it. Some notes get saves within days, but most accounts need time to build a record in search.

Track these numbers each month:

  1. Saves and comments per note.

  2. Private messages and enquiries.

  3. Searches that bring people to your notes.

  4. Customers who say they found you on XHS.

If enquiries are not growing by month three, the keyword plan or the content needs to change, not just the budget.

How Should You Compare XHS Agency Quotes?

Put every quote into the same table: notes per month, formats, what is included and the monthly price. Then ask three questions:

  • Can you see accounts the agency runs now?

  • Who writes the Chinese copy, and who replies to customers?

  • Do you keep the account and all content if you stop working together?

Our list of 12 questions to ask an XHS agency goes deeper.

From Our Experience Start Media's founder, Dawn, has worked on Xiaohongshu for 8 years and trained more than 1,000 students. When a business asks us for a price, we first search XHS the way their customers would and count how many notes we need to cover those searches. That number, not a fixed package, sets the monthly fee. About 80% of our outsourcing clients also add KOC store visits, because creator notes fill search results faster than one account can.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does XHS account management cost in Singapore?

At Start Media, it is about SGD 1,600–2,500 a month for 6–15 notes, including planning, Chinese copy, posting, replies and a monthly report. Other agencies count posts and services differently, so compare what is included, not only the price.

How many XHS notes a month does a small business need?

Most of our clients post 6–15 notes a month. A single shop with one menu can start near 6. A brand with several outlets or product lines usually needs more.

Is the Blue V fee included in the monthly price?

No. The platform charges a 600 yuan review fee per application. We help prepare and submit the documents as a separate setup task.

Do I also need to pay for XHS ads?

Not at the start. In our experience, organic notes and store visits come first, and a small boost works best behind notes that already earn saves.

Can I book store visits without account management?

Yes. KOC store visits start from SGD 2,000 per campaign and can run on their own, though they work better when your own account is active and replies to customers.
