What Makes Social Media Management More Expensive?
Number of platforms. Each platform needs its own format. A TikTok video, an Instagram carousel and a Xiaohongshu note are different pieces of work.
Video. Filming and editing short videos takes far more time than designing a post. Video is the biggest cost driver in 2026, because TikTok and Reels are where most attention is.
Language. Content in both English and Chinese needs bilingual copywriters.
Influencers. Arranging creator visits and checking their posts is extra work, and many agencies charge it separately.
Paid ads. Running and optimising ads adds a management fee, separate from the ad spend.

How Much Should a Small Business Spend?
Just starting out, one main customer group: one platform at SGD 1,600–2,500 a month is enough to stay active.
Restaurants, shops and service businesses that rely on walk-ins: you need short videos on TikTok and Instagram at minimum. A multi-platform package with video gives the best return.
